Emerald Lake
It is a lake that was created on the site of a former chalk and marl mine - hence the unusual color of water. During work on the excavation, on July 16, 1925, a layer of sands was found, which led to a sudden flooding of the mine, along with machines that are there until today and are a real treat for divers. We can admire flocks of fish through the crystal clear water, which in this deep 50 meter reservoir made a real enclave. Part of the mine output was stored in a heap near the mine. This is how the viewpoint was created, from which we can admire the panorama of the city today.
When visiting this place, it is also worth going to bunkers located in the slope. You can visit them from April to October, because for the remaining months winter bats stay there.
The attraction is particularly recommended in good weather, when the rays of the sun give this place an extra glow.
